Gerry McNamara is a Professor of Management at Michigan State University. His research examines the effects of behavioral factors, organizational practices, and strategic positioning on organizational decision-making and risk taking. His research has been published in the Academy of Management Journal, the Strategic Management Journal, Organization Science, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, the Journal of Applied Psychololgy, the Journal of Management, and the Journal of International Business Studies. Dr. McNamara’s research has been abstracted in the Wall Street Journal, Harvard Business Review, New York Times, Business Week, the Economist, and Financial Week. He is a co-author of the textbook Strategic Management: Creating Competitive Advantages with Greg Dess and Alan Eisner. He serves as an Associate Editor for the Strategic Management Journal and previously served as an Associate Editor for the Academy of Management Journal.
